Internship #1 – Nutritional Therapist trainee

 

As a nutritional therapy intern, you will have the opportunity to get involved in all parts of the EatLiveLovefood business. Our goal is for the intern to support us with increasing our network, readership and private clients. This internship provides the opportunity to deepen one’s existing nutrition knowledge, experience working for a small business and work in a positive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities

The intern, depending on their interests and the needs of the business, may be responsible for some or all of the following activities:

  • Conducting research for consultations, creating factsheets, discussing cases with the Nutritional Therapist and observing consultations;
  • The opportunity to give 4 free consultations (an initial and a follow up to two different people) under the observation of a qualified Nutritional Therapist; at least one client will be found by you
  • Researching and writing blog posts, updating our social media sites and sending out newsletters;
  • Other possibilities are dependent on your interests and the needs of the team

About you

  • You study nutrition, nutritional therapy or naturopathy or are recently graduated from one of these fields
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or minimum 3 year diploma in the areas mentioned above
  • You are fluent in English (Dutch is an asset)
  • You are looking to gain practical experience in the field of nutritional therapy
  • You are open to suggestion and willing to learn
  • You are full of ideas, proactive in your work and happy to take ownership of a project
  • You are assertive and can speak confidently to people in, or coming to join, our network
  • You are passionate about improving people’s eating habits

Terms: flexible hours, part- or full-time, minimum 3 months

EatLiveLovefood does not pay interns financially, however, we understand the need to compensate those who work for us. The benefits below outline how we aim to support our interns and provide value to their working experience.

  • Two free, personal nutrition consultations by EatLiveLovefood’s owner
  • Access to our on-site library
  • The opportunity to give 4 free consultations to two people under the observation of a qualified Nutritional Therapist (this option is dependent on your clinical experience)

Internship #2 – Marketing, Communications and Business Development Intern

 

As a Marketing and Communications intern, you will have the opportunity to run your ideas and enthusiasm, using innovative methods, to increase our network, readership, clients and workshop attendees. Innovation is key as there is only a tiny budget.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyse our current activity and identify areas of productivity and crucial areas of the business requiring attention; you will be using Google Analytics, surveys, MailChimp and other tools assess current social media activity;
  • Plan a marketing programme, targeting areas identified as high priority, while managing the budget;
  • Writing and posting blog posts or finding guest bloggers, updating the social media sites and sending out newsletters;
  • There are other possibilities, depending on your interests.

About you

  • You study marketing and communications or similar programme or are recently graduated with a Bachelors degree;
  • You have experience using social media tools in a work environment (Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter etc);
  • You are fluent in English (Dutch is an asset);
  • You are enthusiastic and looking to gain practical experience;
  • You are interested in working in an environment that offers you freedom to apply what you’ve studied
  • You are assertive and can speak confidently to people in, or coming to join, our network;
  • You are interested in learning more about your health and nutrition in general

Terms: part-time, project-based, minimum commitment three months

The benefits:

  • Free lunch and refreshments provided on working days;
  • Two free, personal nutrition consultations by EatLiveLovefood’s owner;
  • Access to our on-site library;
  • Potential commission, depending on core work; agreed before starting.
